Inside the home.

We treat the places pests live and travel — kitchen and laundry skirtings, under appliances, sink and cupboard voids, bathroom and wet-area cracks, wardrobe and storage corners, and the sub-floor and roof void where accessible. Internal work is a combination of a low-odour residual surface spray and discreet gel baits placed in cracks and voids, out of reach of children and pets. For German cockroaches the gel does most of the heavy lifting because they rarely cross sprayed surfaces.

Outside and the perimeter.

Most tropical pests come from outside, so the external treatment is the most important part. We spray a residual band around the base of the building, treat the eaves and window frames where spiders web up, dust the weep holes and wall cavities, and treat garden edges, paths, fence lines and around the bins. We also knock down obvious spider and wasp activity around entries and outdoor living areas while we are there.

The Cairns difference.

In the wet tropics there is no winter to give you a free knock-back, and summer rain washes residual product off exposed external surfaces faster than down south. A one-off treatment clears what is there now, but continuous breeding means new cockroaches and ants march straight back in. That is the single biggest reason Cairns homes do better on a recurring 6 or 12-monthly plan than on ad-hoc call-outs.

Licensing, chemicals and why we do not cut corners.

Every treatment is carried out by a licensed Queensland Pest Management Technician — the licence administered by Queensland Health under the Medicines and Poisons Act 2019, which governs who may apply pesticides commercially and how. We only use products registered by the APVMA and apply them strictly to the label rate — over-dosing is illegal, unsafe and no more effective. Cutting corners in this trade usually means a quick perimeter spray with no internal baiting, no sub-floor or roof-void check, and no warranty — cheap on the day and back to square one in a month. We would rather do it once, properly, and stand behind it.

Warranty and recurring protection.

A standard general pest treatment carries a 12-month warranty on cockroaches, ants, spiders and silverfish — if they come back inside that period, so do we, free. German cockroaches and tropical ant super-colonies sometimes need a follow-up visit to fully clear, which is included. Recurring clients on a 6 or 12-monthly plan are re-treated on schedule before the barrier lapses, which works out cheaper per visit and keeps the home consistently clear.
